Kiera jumped into Dale's arms while her mother, Tara, looked over a flyer from the dance rehearsal they were picking her up from at Huntingburg Elementary School on Jan. 31. Tara said she is grateful that Dale became Kiera's legal guardian as she couldn't be there for her while going through drug court.
